Boonah Playmakers
The Boonah Playmakers is our theatre group. It was created in 2023 when several members expressed a wish for a drama group. Its successful premiere performance in 2024 was a staged radio play adaptation of ‘Murder at Moorstones Manor’, a Ripping Yarn.
New members are very welcome, both onstage and behind the scenes.

Audition Time!
Cast and crew are required for performances of ‘Blithe Spirit’ by Noël Coward - "A Masterpiece of Comedy and Escape".
You need to be available for

Auditions on Saturday 15 November at 10am or Monday 17 November at 4pm. At Boonah Cultural Centre.

Rehearsals from late January 2026 – probably Saturday mornings and Monday afternoons, open for discussion once cast is selected.

Performances at Boonah Cultural Centre at 7pm on Friday 8 May 2026 and 2pm on Saturday 9 May 2026.
Once cast is selected the script will be made available for you to study over November/December/January.
Please contact us in the first instance for a cast list, then let me know which part/s you would like to try for or for any other information. Also which audition time suits you best or if you can’t make either but would like to audition.
If you are not familiar with the play there is a lot of information online. Also a film version, which varies slightly from the play script, on YouTube. But I would like you to make the roles your own and not model them on other actors.
This year our production was 'Bloody Murder' a comedic mystery by Ed Sala.
